PixelOver is a Godot Engine powered pixel art tool we previously covered in July of last year. In the time since we last looked at this application, a lot of functionality has been added, including 3D support! PixelOver originally was for creating pixel art versions of normal images, but since then it has added tons of functionality such as bone animation and 3d model rendering, making it a virtual pixel art Swiss army tool for pixel artists.
PixelOver is described as:
PixelOver is a software to transform your arts to pixel arts as best as possible, animate in realtime with pixel perfect transformations and key animation system.
As a pixel artist, you can use it to quickly make accurate drafts of your sketches.
As digital painter or 3D modeler, you can use this software to fit your arts with your whole pixel art games.
The most recent 0.9 released built on the 3D support added in 0.8 by adding support for 3D animated models, making it possible to easily create animated sprites from 3d models. PixelOver is available for Windows, Mac and Windows on Steam and Itch.io. There is a save limited demo available if you want to check it out.
