Pixologic have just released ZBRush 2021.5 after having apparently mastered the art of time travel. ZBrush is the most popular 3D sculpting application in use in AAA studios and special effects companies everywhere. This release is a free upgrade for existing ZBrush users and adds quite a few nice new features, including:
- new Thick Skin mode for mimicking working with hard clay
- Scultpris Pro dynamic tessellation system that adds and removes polygons as you sculpt as needed
- apply Contrast both globally and locally to quickly add depth to an existing sculpt
- new Curves Helper for quickly creating surfaces like laces, rope and wiring
- real-time Ambient Occlusion preview, see the effects of light on your sculpt
- new tools for slicing topology, creasing and filling it, ideal for hard surface modeling
- ability to lock model rotation to a single access to recreate traditional sculpting wheels
- support for 3Dconnexions Spacemouse Line
